This program is dedicated to funding innovations and empowering ideas that directly impact and improve bedside care and clinical practice today. It seeks to support projects emphasizing effective and efficient bedside practices to achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • The Frontline Innovation Program will continue to grant projects with a cap of $10,000.
  • The Institute will also consider additional funding for highly intriguing projects that are strategic in nature and align closely with UPMC’s clinical priorities. Such projects may be granted (but will not exceed) funding of up to $25,000.
  • The next round of Frontline Innovation grants will be solicited in July, 2023, selected in October, 2023, and awarded in December, 2023.
